Crowns and Bridges

We create crowns to look as real as possible. An excellent outcome starts with choosing the right material for the replacement tooth. All our crowns can be created using both traditional and digital techniques.

High Translucency Zirconia

With a strength of 590-1000 MPa, High Translucency Zirconia is recommended for single-unit anterior crowns, single-unit posterior crowns, and multi-unit anterior bridges. It is not recommended for full arches, veneers, or inlays/onlays.

Layered Zirconia

With a core strength of 900 MPa and a layered porcelain strength similar to PFM, Layered Zirconia is recommended for single-unit anterior crowns, single-unit posterior crowns, and multi-unit bridges. Layered zirconia is not as strong as full-contour zirconia and not recommended for bruxism patients, but it exhibits superior aesthetics.

Full Zirconia

With a strength of 1000 - 1200 MPa, Full Zirconia is recommended for single-unit anterior crowns, single-unit posterior crowns, multi-unit bridges, and bruxism patients. It is not recommended for veneers, aesthetically challenging cases, or inlays/onlays. Also, a heavy chamfer prep will give the best results.

Full Gold

Full Gold restorations are recommended for single-unit posterior crowns, and multi-unit bridges. It is not recommended for those who wish to have a natural-looking tooth. Stump shade not required for crafting a gold restoration.

Porcelain Fused to Metal (PFM)

Porcelin Fused to Metal - or PFM - is recommended for single-unit anterior crowns, single-unit posterior crowns, and multi-unit bridges. It is not recommended for bruxism patients.

E.Max CAD

With a strength of 300-420 MPa, E.Max CAD is recommended for single-unit anterior crowns and single-unit posterior crowns. We do not recommend it for bridges.

E.Max Pressed Crown

With a strength of 360-440 MPa, the E.Max Pressed Crown is ideal for those seeking a metal-free, high translucency, natural aesthetic. It is recommended for veneers, inlays/onlays, anterior crowns, and posterior crowns. While not as strong as full-contour zirconia, it is considered more aesthetic.

“I LOVE my 2 crowns from Fusion! I have a custom shade matched one on a front tooth, and no one would ever know it was there. My dentist recommended a gold crown for a back molar, as I’m a grinder. It alleviated the tooth pain I had been having for years! The people are friendly and professional, and welcome you to their office for the color consultation.

As I reach middle age, my 30+ year old silver fillings are wearing out and I need 2 more. I’m definitely getting my new crowns from Fusion.”
